Amazon says Muse does not identify itself as an agent and appears to keep customers' Amazon credentials. It has previously taken similar action against Perplexity's Comet and agents from Google and OpenAI.
The dispute is part of a wider fight over who controls agent shopping. Retailers want agents that sign their requests and use official checkout protocols.
