Meta launches Muse, a free personal agent

Muse lives in WhatsApp and a new app, shops and sells for you, and gives US and Canadian users 100 million free tokens a week.

Meta introduced Muse on 8 September as a personal agent for everyday life: shopping, selling on Marketplace, planning and messages. It works in WhatsApp and a new standalone app.

Muse is free with a weekly allowance of 100 million tokens. Power costs $20 a month for 500 million and Maximum $100 for 3 billion. A card is required even for the free tier.

It is available to adults in the United States and Canada only. Within its first weeks the app topped the App Store charts, and also ran into its first incidents.

What it means for you

Muse is the easiest agent to try if you live in the US or Canada. Set limits on sharing and spending on day one.
